So I am an expat living in UAE and looking to get a residential or buy to let mortgage on a property valued at £520,000 with a deposit of 20% (100K)
Only issue is I recently found out I have a default on my credit file which I was not aware of. The default was issued in July 2021 and the outstanding amount is £3200. I can clear the amount now but want to know if there is any chance of getting an approval based on my Circumstances
Any help and advice would be appreciated

Hi John, thanks for getting in contact.
This scenario can be possible however it will come down to the exact details regarding your residential and tax status.
In some respects the default is less of a complication than the above however all variables would form part of placing your case.
